The project team of “Sonmaz Mashal” Cultural Relations Public Union organized a presentation ceremony devoted to the accomplishment of the project under the name of ”Travel of Colours: Baku-Budapest” sponsored by The Council on State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the Auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Information Resource Complex of the Azerbaijan University of Languages.
The chairwoman of “Sonmaz Mashal” Cultural Relations Public Union, Professor of Azerbaijan University of Languages Shahla Naghiyeva gave a talk on the activities accomplished within the framework of the project. She informed that an art exhibition covering the paintings of the young Azerbaijani woman artists was organized in Budapest, the capital of Hungary on June 20-25.
The aim of the project was to present art, culture, historical monuments, magnificent nature of Azerbaijan to Budapest community through the language of colors, provide them with information on Nagorno-Karabakh truth and the tragedies caused by Armenian aggression. The event participants were presented books, booklets, photo-albums dealing with Khojali genocide, CDs of Azerbaijan music published with the financial support of Heyder Aliyev Foundation. Paintings by young artists Narmina Valiyeva, Shahla Gahramanli, Gunay Hasanova were demonstrated in the lobby of the “Helia” hotel situated in the centre of Budapest.
Shahla Naghiyeva stated that there were Ambassadors of Azerbaijan and Turkey to Hungary, representatives of embassies of the USA and Pakistan, members of Hungary-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, art community, business people and common Budapest people among the exhibition attendants.
The artists whose paintings were demonstrated in the exhibition Narmina Valiyeva, Shahla Gahramanli, Gunay Hasanova expressed their gratitude to the Azerbaijan Government for the financial and moral support. Aziz Abilzadeh, a student from Azerbaijan studying in Hungary singing the songs he had performed in the opening ceremony of the art exhibition accompanied by playing his guitar was a great addition to the presentation ceremony. Having provided detailed information about the realization of the project video fragments shot from the art exhibition organized in Budapest , an extract from “M1” News program of Hungarian TV were demonstrated.
