CULTURE OF STRUGGLE AGAINST CORONAVIRUS:WHO, WHERE, HOW?


“The Culture of Struggle against Coronavirus: Who, Where, How” video conference was held in the frame of the campaign “Stay at Home, Enrich your Knowledge” by the Council on State Support to NGOs under the Auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in collaboration with Real TV organized by Sonmaz Mashal Cultural Relations Public Union.

Farasat Gurbanov, Executive director of the Council on State Support to NGOs under the Auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan took the floor and gave information about the practice of fighting against COVİD-19 pandemic in Azerbaijan. He spoke about the campaigns of enlightenment and monitoring realized by The Council and mentioned high-level solidarity of the NGOs in the struggle against this global disaster.

There was exchange of views on the work done in fighting against coronavirus (COVİD-19) in our country, the activities of the NGOs in our country and abroad, lifestyle, creative activities of the Azerbaijanis living abroad and foreign partners of the NGOs of Azerbaijan in quarantine regime at the videoconference moderated by Shahla Naghiyeva, chairwoman of Sonmaz Mashal Cultural Relations Public Union. Jamila Javadova-Spitsberg, a founder of Azerbaijan-America Music Foundation in Texas, USA establishing a bridge among the music of the two countries, Gunel Safarova, The Founder and President of France-Azerbaijan Dialogue Assosiation and Scientific organization under the name of “Alim” in Lion, France where Armenian lobby is very powerful, Philip Juje, an amateur weaver of Azerbaijan carpets, a member of France-Azerbaijan Dialogue Association, Gunay Hasanova, a fassion designer in Rome, a member of Sonmaz Mashal Cultural Relations Public Union, Linda Fraim- Medical doctor, psychologist from Kuzey Cypris, Turkey, Alex Ibsen from Miami, State of Florida, USA, Rabiga Nazimgizi, a poet, Narmina Valiyeva, an artist in Azerbaijan, Sevinj Karimova, a fashion designer in Luxembourg, Barbara Czechmeszyńska-Skowron, a founder of an NGO-“Fundacja Pokolenia Pokoleniom” in Poland, Maria Gardecki, the founder and President of Washington International Piano Arts Council in Washington DC, USA, John Gardecki, a pianist, a member of Washington International Piano Arts Council, Syuzan Sabbatino-Pellikeyn a businesswoman from New-York, a supporter and sponsor of art and culture, Sean Gall, an American artist of Irish origin living in Rome, Arzu Hasanova, President of Karabakh Cultural Association of Azerbaijan in Luxembourg, Alison Mandaville, a professor of California State University, poet, translator, Amin Amirdabbaghian, a researcher of Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia gave speech at the videoconference.

They performed music, recited poems, demonstrated their paintings and gave information about the ways of struggle against coronavirus in the countries they live in.
